I am bored!
You know why? Cameo has gone out of Delhi for two days…and without him, this place gets on my nerves.
Yes, you are right. I stay alone the entire day, but then that’s routine. After these people leave, I go off to sleep, and I wake up when they come back. Now Cameo is the one who plays with me. All Mercury is good at is…sitting on her haunches and typing away! When they come back, and after I’ve told them how happy I am to have them back; Mercury goes into the kitchen to make tea, while Cameo and I play. We play Bite-Knuckles and Snatch-Ball; and by the time Mercury brings the tea and the snacks, I am tired and ready for the refreshments.
Then they talk and I sit between them. Both Mercury and I compete to gain Cameo’s attention – Cameo is smart, so he multi-tasks! He talks to her and plays with me. After the evening tea, Cameo and I go for our evening walk. It’s our quality time together. Just Cameo and I. That’s the time when he shares his innermost thoughts with me! (I sometimes feel that he is closer to me than he is to Mercury.)
When we come back, Cameo joins Mercury in the kitchen and while they prepare dinner, I watch TV…and then we dine together. After dinner, we relax…they are fond of reading, so they read while I doze off.
Now let’s review the situation that’s been prevailing at our place for the last couple of days.
The morning routine is almost the same, but the evenings are…as I said, boring! Mercury comes back and takes me out for my walk. Then she goes into the kitchen and makes herself a cup of tea. She comes back with her tea and some snacks for me. Then she gives me the snacks, puts her computer on and begins to type. Her tea becomes cold, half-forgotten; I become bored, completely-forgotten! I sit alone for a while then I begin to doze.
Then after an hour or two, she goes into the kitchen and prepares some instant noodles for herself and some instant chicken biryani for me. (Incidentally, the instant biryani tastes good – if you want I could ask her for the recipe.) She gives me the biryani and gulps down the instant noodles so that they are gone in an instant! (I guess that’s why they are called instant noodles.) She then asks me to jump on the bed and go to sleep, which I would do anyways for want of better things to do!
Then she re-perches on her chair and begins to type…
There she goes again…tat-a-tat-a-tat-a…can you hear it?!
The sound puts me to sleep! Do you see why I am bored? Thank God…Cameo is coming back tomorrow morning!

Stumble Oorvi's Diary!

Make sure you let Cameo know you missed him. If you’re really lucky, he’ll take you with him next time!
Aw Oorvi…
We all have ta sacrifice fer the simple pleasures in life….hoomans are very busy people most of the time and when they come home from work, they can be tired…..thankfully Gram and Pap are both retired now and we get lots of time with them…but even they get really busy lots when they are workin’ on projects….
Yep, we have ta sometimes just crawl in their laps and hold ‘em down fer a spell ta let ‘em know we need attention….why don’t ya try that sometime with Mercury….when she’s typin’ away….crawl in ‘er lap…look inta ‘er eyes pleadin’ fer a kiss and attention….sometimes it works and ya get a scratch or a kiss….or better still BALL TIME….
And when Cameo gets back from his trip….tell ‘em ya missed ‘em too…ya might get an extra walk and more ball time…..
Aw, what we have ta do fer love….ya need a degree in psychology fer sure….start readin’ those books….
Dewey Dewster here……
Being sure to let him know ALWAYS works – I do it with Mom and I know she is sure to show a friend of hers how much they are missed when they don’t see each other for a few days!
Maybe you should tell her how you feel? Ask her to watch khlosely when he attends to you and you to him?
Hugz&Khysses,
Khyra
I know it is not much of a creek, or a stream, but I had you in mind Oorvi when I photographed Sasha next to it.
